The Start
While managing a wire mill die shop in the summer of 2003, Vince Griffin recognized a need within the industry that propelled him into the role of business owner. That need was customer service via logistics and engineering in the diamond die industry. A catastrophic event with a silver lining convinced him it was time to start Premier Wire Die.
Filling a Logistical Need
One of the problems at the time was long lead-times and late deliveries of draw dies. Drawing on his expertise and technical aptitude, Vince developed a program to rapidly respond to customer’s needs. Over time, his die company would earn a reputation for the best deliveries in the industry!
The advantage of first hand experience
Vince also recognized an advantage of sharing his knowledge of wire drawing with the customer. His hands-on wire drawing experience would be invaluable to those struggling with day to day die wire drawing complications.
Then and Now
In August of 2003, Premier Wire Die was born out of necessity in Cumberland, RI. Within one year, there would be another plant in Fort Wayne, IN. Seventeen years later he purchased a building that is to become the permanent home of Premier Wire Die.
